Continuous increasing back pain in the absence of a temperature rise & increasing deformity ± leg pain.

Diagnosis
Options
Gradual onset usually without any history of trauma
Possible vertebral body malignant deposit / tumour or Tuberculosis or related pathologies
Scan initial diagnosis, Biopsy for definition, internal stabilisation as appropriate, specific treatment of cancer or Tuberculosis.
Gradual onset of sideways deformity or list.
Degenerate scoliosis with lateral osteophytosis
Removal of the impinging osteophytes endoscopically ± alignment correction & fusion,
Onset over a few days / weeks without significant trauma
Osteoporotic vertebral body fracture.
Kyphoplasty / vertebroplasty.
