'Don't Give In' - Tony Gee

Firstly, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to you and the team for the treatment and aftercare you have given me to date.

Before getting to know about you and your methods of treatment, I had been told by one spinal surgeon he could do nothing for my condition.
I was then referred to a second spinal surgeon who eventually performed two conventional operations over a period of twelve months, both resulting in a negative outcome. He then informed me that he had taken me as far as he could.

I have suffered with lower back problems for about ten years, probably resulting from a car accident when I was six years of age. My mobility deteriorated to a point where I could barely walk 20 yards without experiencing severe pains in my right buttock, right leg and lower back. I found it difficult to stand or sit for periods exceeding thirty minutes. Despite the debilitating nature of my problems I have continued with my occupation as an electrician with some degree of difficulty.

At sixty one years of age, I began to wonder if I was destined for a life with a walking stick or worse a wheelchair, without the help of my wife and family I could not have coped with life in general.

In desperation I paid a visit to a local osteopath Mr Paul Steeper, having known Paul for a considerable length of time I explained my dire situation. He informed me of a lecture he had attended in Manchester regarding spinal treatments performed by Mr Martin Knight. He strongly advised me to make an appointment to see you and the rest is history.

My wife and I attended the first consultation with you, I must admit with a little trepidation, but you soon put me at ease and gave me hope. I have had three operations to date and my condition has vastly improved. The nerve related pains in my legs, buttock and lower back have virtually gone, I can report a 90% improvement in my walking and is almost not restricted. Although not ‘out of the woods’ just yet I am confident with your continued support I can look forward to a much brighter future.

I would like to pass on a message of hope to anyone reading this email who suffers with spinal problems ‘don’t give in’ contact the spinal foundation and I am sure you will not regret it.

Finally, I would like to sincerely thank your secretary, Jenny, for all the help and advice she has given me during my association with the spinal foundation.
