Animation of Vertebral Dynamic Slippage & Role of Foraminoplasty

The treatment of slippage of one vertebra forwards or backwards upon another  (spondylolisthesis or retrolisthesis) is conventionally considered a source of pain treatable by fusing the vertebrae together. However Endoscopic Foraminoplasty removes the ligaments, scarring, overriding facet joint or impinging bone spurs (osteophytes) from the surface of the nerve and preserves the movement patterns of the spine and allows the core restabilisation and control of the abnormal micromovements of the vertebrae. Foraminoplasty is not a simple Foraminotomy and requires precision exploration of the whole exiting nerve.  Excitingly it offers means of rebuilding the disc.
